Description & Services
Description (Service) Activities with respect to land use and public policy, community development, urban design, site planning and building construction * reviews and formulates recommendations on development applications * consultation to owners/developers regarding development process * prepares and maintains City's Official Plan * maintains and provides mapping, property information and statistics * responds to planning/building enquiries in person or by telephone * coordinates engineering approval and inspections for roads/sewers etc, residential, commercial and industrial developments 
Building Services administers building permits, accepts and processes building permit applications * reviews plans of all new construction, issues building permits,inspects building and plumbing systems during construction * zoning by-law interpretation and zoning compliance checks/approvals for lawyers letters, applications and building permits * legal and administrative services related to property development agreements and real estate transactions
