Description & Services
Description (Service) 541 hectares in area and is the largest under CLOCA's jurisdiction* hilly forest covered terrain is typical of the Oak Ridges Moraine (a.k.a the Great Pine Ridge) * ridge was formed during the last ice age and runs 160 km from the Niagara Escarpment to the Trent Valley * area acquired to preserve the natural features and the headwaters for the Bowmanville Creek * 18 km of multi-use trails for non-motorized use 
Mountain Biking all trails at Long Sault Conservation Area are open to mountain biking * mountain bikers are asked to follow the direction of travel for mountain biking (opposite to hikers) that is indicated on the trailhead signs and trail posts  
Cross Country Skiing 
18 km of cleared trails but not groomed * trails are marked with degree of difficulty from beginner to advanced 
Snowshoeing is permitted on all trails * do not snow shoe on established cross-country ski tracks 
Nature Trails 
All of the ski trails double as nature trails in the off months, there are 18 kilometers of hiking trails * portions of the trails accomodate the Oak Ridges Trail 
Pet Policy 
Pets are permitted on a leash (maximum 2 metres long) at all times * owners must clean up after pets * pet owners violating these regulations will be fined (minimum $75 fine)
