| Description | Disaster Management Emergency and disaster relief * provision of basic needs (food, shelter, clothing and other personal needs) to full shelter management * Personal Disaster Assistance Team provides basic and immediate needs, up to a 72 hour period, to those directly affected by a personal disaster (eg. house fire, gas leak or a serious motor vehicle crash) * prepares, trains and equips volunteers to respond to disaster First Aid Training Training to deal with any emergency situation with confidence * courses available in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automatic External Defibrilator (AED) instruction Babysitter Training Designed for youth 11 years and up * course covers the responsibilities of a babysitter, safety tips for children of all ages * basic child care skills, and what to do in case of an emergency Humanitarian Issues Programs & Youth Action Committee Youth oriented programs * generate a positive climate for public policy * promotion of humanitarian values and law HELP (Healthcare Equipment Loan Program) Rents portable healthcare equipment to assist individuals recuperating in their own homes from illness, injury or post operative surgery and individuals waiting for long-term care Disaster Management Program coordinates appeals for donations | |||
