Description & Services
Description (Service) Emergency assistance response * incident response group volunteers support community education and participation in both local and provincial emergency and disaster services * may act as Police Community Volunteers and provide ground search and rescue support * volunteers may work with local government management and emergency services to provide a professional, multi-role, community-based surge capacity/response to major incidents
Sup. Description Volunteers provide emergency assistance on OCEAP calls in the GTA East * volunteers commit for a two-year term and are able to attend an incident on short notice * volunteers are on-call via their phones, may be asked to provide backup assistance to local OCEAP teams during a regional emergency * volunteers must be physically capable of carrying, lifting, walking and standing for long periods of time in all types of conditions and weather * training provided

Eligibility Ages: 19 year(s) and up 
 
Must be willing and available to meet emergency on-call service requirements * must have class G drivers license, must have or be willing to obtain Standard First-Aid and CPR level C * no criminal record * must pass vulnerable sector screening
