Sup. Description Neurofibromatosis (NF)is a progressive, highly variable genetic disorder that causes multiple tumours to grow on nerves anywhere in the body including the brain and the spinal cord. It can result in curvature of the spine, deformation of bones, brain tumours, blindness, deafness, severe disfiguration, loss of limbs, learning disabilities, psychological problems and social isolation. There are three NF categories. NF1 is the most common form with an incidence rate of 1 in 3,000.
