| Duties | We are looking for volunteers to deliver food parcels to our ‘Food 4 Thought’ program participants across Durham Region. Food 4 Thought delivers food to young pregnant mothers throughout Durham region. The time commitment is 1-2 hours every Tuesday, with pickup of parcels at our Ajax office at 12:00 pm. Deliveries are anywhere between Pickering and Bowmanville, but we will divide up routes to make it as short and efficient as possible. Teams will need to use a cell phone to call/text the recipient when they are on their way and when they arrive. Volunteers do not go into the recipients’ homes – they just deliver and allow the recipient to pick up their food parcel outside their door.
