Duties

Afiwi Groove School is seeking a Costume Coordinator to support our June 28 Showcase at the Regent Theatre. This role is essential to helping our performers look and feel prepared, confident, and stage-ready.

The Costume Coordinator will work closely with Afiwi’s costume designer and makers to organize costume production, fittings, and final preparation. They will also coordinate volunteers to support backstage costume changes for two shows, helping ensure a smooth and professional showcase experience for all performers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate costumes with the designer and makers for all showcase groups
  • Organize and manage costume fittings for students/performers
  • Track sizing, alterations, and missing costume pieces
  • Prepare and organize costumes by class/group for showcase day
  • Create a costume system that supports Afiwi’s performance flow and backstage needs
  • Coordinate and brief volunteers for costume changes during two shows
  • Support backstage costume stations and quick changes at the Regent Theatre
  • Ensure costumes are collected, organized, and accounted for after performances
