Position Overview:

Ajax Soccer Club is seeking an energetic and creative Marketing, Social Media, and Events Organizer to help elevate the club’s community presence, promote our programs, and organize exciting events for players and families. The ideal candidate will be passionate about youth sports, social media savvy, and have strong skills in event planning and community engagement.

This role plays a key part in connecting the club to the broader community, enhancing member experiences, and supporting club growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing & Communications:

• Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote soccer programs, tournaments, and club initiatives.

• Design promotional materials such as flyers, newsletters, and digital content.

• Write and distribute press releases and club announcements.

Social Media Management:

• Manage the club’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).

• Create, schedule, and post engaging content that highlights players, teams, events, and important club updates.

• Monitor engagement and respond to messages and comments promptly.

• Track and report on social media analytics to measure success and suggest improvements.

Event Planning & Coordination:

• Plan and organize club events such as the season kickoff, tournaments, awards ceremonies, fundraisers, and community outreach events.

• Coordinate with vendors, sponsors, and volunteers to ensure successful event execution.

• Promote events through various marketing channels to maximize attendance.

Partnerships & Sponsorships:

• Help identify and engage potential community sponsors and partners.

• Develop materials to promote sponsorship opportunities.

EmpowHER is a dynamic leadership and mentorship program designed to equip young women and LGBTQ2+ individuals (ages 12–30) with the skills, networks, and opportunities to excel in their chosen fields. This hybrid program (both virtual and in-person) provides hands-on experiences with civic action.

EmpowHER is open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and protected refugees who are passionate about civic engagement and making a meaningful impact in their communities. Participants will engage in real-world projects, leadership training, and mentorship opportunities that foster growth and empowerment.

Earth Rangers is looking for teens across Canada to get involved in environmental action, wherever you live. Our ER Teens program lets you volunteer for the environment by doing an eco-action project of your choice. • Ultimately, you will help us reach our target audience by delivering both useful and appealing online information regarding our events, workshops and programs.
• Identify community needs and recomend new topics

Requirements:

• A student involved in the above areas of study, seeking to get hands on experience

   Or:

• Anyone with experience and a willingness to get involved with community work.

Designing social media content for our platform that are engaging with current trends and opportunities to increase brand exposure for our company.

• Collaborate in teams and or with other staff members and volunteers.
• Propose ideas to improve DFCC's social media platforms.
• Provide support for designing flyers, and posters while being informed of trending topics.
• Create and plan the contents of the volunteer and or youth monthly newsletter. It can incorporate feature articles, updates and highlights of DFCC's activities and achievements. 
• Create weekly quotes either inspirational or informative to engage followers.
• Writing blog posts about our initiatives and events
