General Responsibilities of the Board of Directors

The Board is responsible for the governance and the overall performance of the Corporation.  The responsbilities of the Board shall inlcude all things required by the Board pursuant to Non-Profit Corporatons Act, and other applicable laws, including without limitation:

  • Strategic Planning
  • Financial oversight including appointment of an Auditor
  • Governance
  • Appoint and supervise the Executive Director
  • Montoring of organizational risk and mitigation strategies
  • Ensure mechanisms are in place to provide high quality of care to people with intellectual disabilities

Looking for new connections? We are looking for volunteers to support individuals 21+ with a developmental disability with various activities. This could be in-person or virtual. In-person you will suppost staff with a small group head out into the community for vaious activities and events. Virtually you will meet with a small group or individual to chat, play games etc.
