FOOTPRINTS 4 Autism is a nonprofit registered charity serving Durham Region. We offer respite and recreational programs for families with children and youth on the autism spectrum. We are currently growing from a Steering Committee to a Governance Board, and looking for new members to join our Board.
We need Board members in the following areas: Marketing, Communications, Fund Development, Finance and Secretary. For a 2-year commitment.
Board meetings are held once-a-month in Whitby. We have a virtual option as well. Members can choose roles in Marketing & Communications, Fund Development, Finance, Human Resources and ad-hoc Project sub-committees.
These roles can be rewarding to anyone from lawyers, insurance agents, marketing and advertising to accountants, fundraisers, administration, and community minded people, to name a few.

We are looking for volunteer ushers and greeters to help out at our show, Living with Shakespeare, across Ontario* Locations include: Kingston, Picton/Wellington, Quint West, Peterborough, Oshawa, Pickering, Ingersoll, Toronto and Burlington* The performance begins at 7:30pm with volunteer shifts beginning at 6:00pm.
Helping to keep the gardens at BGC Durham's Eastview location at 433 Eulalie Ave., Oshawa looking their best. It would be preferable if the group/person was available for a couple of hours one or 2 days a week from May to October. Duties will include watering, weeding, planting, and other general gardening.

Committee members take ownership of fundraising and contribute significantly to TCEP corporate sponsorship, personal giving, fundraising events and other campaigns. They leverage personal or professional networks, practice event planning skills, and help get people excited about healthy wholesome food! The committee convenes once every 4 to 6 weeks, and members are expected to attend at least 75% of those meetings.

TCEP is all about GOOD food, so we depend on the culinary skills of Durham area chefs to help make sure all our food programs are as delicious as possible. Volunteer Chefs may support cooking classes, feature at a dinner event, or support event food.

We will provide more information on specifics regarding how often you’ll be needed including dates and times.
TCEP hosts both public and private special events including receptions and seated dinners. Event Support volunteers will assist with event preparation including cleaning the facility, decorating, setting tables/moving furniture, and promoting (if applicable). Skilled Event Support volunteers may also assist at an event to either host, serve tables, do dishes, or tend the juice bar – depending on volunteer training and event requirements.

Volunteer Food Educators support the TCEP staff team in delivering food literacy programs at our food education center and around the community. Food educators may supervise and assist in cooking activities, lead group discussions, and participate in all other aspects of program delivery from set-up to clean-up. Volunteer food educators are also welcome to contribute to program planning to ensure our curriculum contains exciting activities, and promote food system sustainability.

Support adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities in a Camp setting
To provide day-of-event virtual support to participants and speakers during CNIB’s virtual Connecting the Dots conference welcome and introduce session speakers, presenters and panelists at CNIB’s virtual Connecting the Dots conference support speakers conducting Q&A sessions session timekeeper summarize and communicate key themes and trends that the group has proposed * support the presenter to effectively create closure.
To provide general support to conference participants during CNIB’s virtual Connecting the Dots conference provide general support to conference participants navigating the event platform and trying to access virtual sessions * concierge service to those looking to find virtual sessions, needing general info, etc.
Act as a community liaison and collaborate with like-minded individuals to raise awareness * plan education events * plan fundraising events such as the Gutsy Walk
Role 1 (A more Creative Role) – 2 roles available: updating the marketing aspects of our Web Page * create and update marketing materials such social media postings on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter * develop and design innovative and engaging social media content * develop and maintain a social media calendar
Role 2 (A more Technical Role) – 1 Role available: conduct market research * track all marketing initiatives and create weekly/monthly reports with Google Studio, Analytics, social media reporting * determine target markets and their various characteristics and needs * update marketing metric reports from MailChimp and salesforce * investigate and keep us up to date with what the competition is doing
This role will support event execution for the Ovarian Camcer Canada Walk of Hope Sunday September 10 8 am - 2 pm at Rotary Park Ajax*Duties will include setting up signage, greeting participants, registration, setting up refreshments, monitoring route check points*

BGC Durham is currently seeking volunteers to assist with our highly-anticipated Halloween Party and Haunted Walk. Volunteers will assist with set-up and general help through out the event, or join our performers for the haunted walk.
Volunteers must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Be working towards completion of high school community service hours
- Provide a clean Vulnerable Sector Check if over 18
- Must be willing to be in costume and perform. A love of Halloween is required!
- Preference will be given to students with a performing arts background
TCEP is looking for an enthusiastic person to provide support with organizing and starting a garden including helping with ongoing garden maintenance. As well as offer educational programs in the garden. Our aim is to offer quality fresh foods to the community whenever possible.
