Manage the finances for the Carion Fenn Foundation * Perform internal audit as needed for the finances of the foundation * Record expenses, payments and other expenditures * Create and consolidate financial statements at the year-end (March 31st) * Manage the budget for the Carion Fenn Foundation * Keep track of charitable donations * Be prepared to explain the finances of the foundation as required *

Create materials to visually represent the organization’s identity and ensure consistent organizational branding * create and update existing templates including letterheads, newsletters, brochures, flyers, factsheets, signage and banners consistent with brand guidelines * create graphics to be used for digital communications * support the Communications team and foundation with branding content creation * design flyers, brochures, logos and banners etc.
Assist staff with social and recreational activities * work one on one with a client * help with meal preparation, serving meals and other kitchen duties
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarington (BBBSC), is actively seeking applications for volunteers to join our Task Forces, which are sub-committee groups of the Board of Directors as related to specific tasks and duties. Dedicated and enthusiastic individuals are encouraged to apply.
Task force categories include: Board and Resource Development (HR), Finance and Fund Development, Strategic Planning, and Governance & Ethics + Risk Assessment.
Task Force members are expected to participate in meetings as scheduled to complete various committee-related tasks and support the agency’s fundraising activities and initiatives where possible * provide expertise and assistance to the Board of Directors, based on initiatives related to the specific Task Force.
A community based program that provides both mental and physical stimulation for persons with early to mid-stage dementia who are accompanied by their care partners * Minds in Motion focuses on improving physical and cognitive functioning while reducing feelings of isolation by offering recreational activities designed to be socially engaging * under the direction of the Exercise Facilitator the volunteer will monitor participants during the 60 minute exercise session * contibute to planning, coordination and leading of a 60 minute mentally/socially stimulating activity designed to meet the needs of older adults and person with dementia and their care partners * assist with room and activity preparation, including set up/take down and sanitization * promote a fun, safe and inclusive social enviornment conducive to group cohesion and relationship building * promote social interaction and participation by providing positive verbal support and encouragment
Learn and apply supportive communication techniques * with guidance and support from Speech-Language Pathologists and Communicative Disorders Assistants, volunteers provide clients with opportunities to engage in conversation of mutual interest and themed activites that may increase participation and enjoyment

Fundraising Cabinet Members
Community Living Oshawa/Clarington(CLOC) is looking for new members to join it’s Fundraising Cabinet – a fun group of volunteers who steer the annual fundraising plan for CLOC, from ideas to implementation. Not only will CLOC be moving into the 4th year of it’s five-year, $500 thousand-dollar fundraising campaign ‘My Life. My Community. My Way.’ in 2023, but we will also be celebrating the organization’s 70th anniversary. The Cabinet is looking for a few new members to help CLOC to further connect with the community and raise awareness and support for people who have developmental disabilities and their families.
The ideal Fundraising Cabinet candidate will be:
· Connected to our mission (to offer opportunities for personal growth, community inclusion and empowerment to people with developmental disabilities, and their families)
· Community-minded and community-connected
· A team player
· Creative & Innovative
· Problem-solver
· An all-round awesome individual!
The expectation:
· Represent the organization and convey the importance of its Mission & Vision to the greater community in a positive manner
· Work in a collaborative manner with the other members of the Fundraising Cabinet & CLOC employees
· Provide your personal expertise to planning of fundraising initiatives & awareness events
· Provide feedback and present original ideas to the Cabinet
· Assistance with and attendance at in-person fundraising initiatives (as meets with your schedule)
The commitment:
· Fundraising Cabinet meets virtually once per month for 1 hour (excluding July & August)
· Addition time to assist with fundraising initiatives (maximum of 1 – 3 hours per month). Currently, fundraising initiatives are done online.
· Preference for people who can commit a minimum of 1 – 2 years to the Cabinet and its work
