Duties

The Uxbridge Farmers' Market offers a variety of interactive programming for kids to enjoy while their families shop at the market. These include but are not limited to sensory play tables, colouring sheets, scavenger hunts, and simple arts and crafts. Volunteers attending the Kids' Zone are responsible for:

  • hyping up the Kids' Zone area
  • welcoming kids and families over
  • encouraging kids to participate
  • offering simple instruction and low-level support for kids' activities
  • assisting with basic setup/cleanup

The Uxbridge Farmers' Market runs 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Sunday rain or shine - volunteers must dress for the weather as the market is outdoors.

The Kids' Zone is NOT a daycare service and children are not to be left in the care of the Kids' Zone Volunteer.

Benefits Become a part of the Uxbridge Farmers' Market family! We are a tight-knit community of Uxbridge locals who are passionate about supporting our area's farmers and small businesses. Have fun and connect with the wonderful people who make, bake, and grow your food and more.
