| Duties | The Adopt-a-Garden program is ideal for volunteers who enjoy gardening and want to make a meaningful, ongoing impact in their community. Adopt-a-Garden volunteers are matched with one school garden, typically located in their neighbourhood, and help with basic garden care throughout the growing season. Volunteers work alongside the school’s summer care team, meaning they are not the sole individuals responsible for garden maintenance. We Grow Food will help set up communication between volunteers and schools to support collaboration and ensure everyone is aligned throughout the season. What the role involves

| Accessibility | Unknown ; Accessibility varies by school location and is not guaranteed. School buildings may or may not be open during the summer or at the times you are completing garden maintenance. Additionally, depending on where the garden is situated on school grounds, access may be easier or more limited. We will do our best to support reasonable accommodation requests wherever possible. |

| Training | Training is provided ; We will be offering training sessions on April 9th and 11th. Attendance at one of these sessions is required to participate in the program. | Transportation | Transportation requirements will vary depending on the school location. Some gardens are near public transit, while others may only be accessible by car. We will do our best to match volunteers with a garden in their general area so that it is within walking distance, in their neighbourhood, or a short drive whenever possible. |
