Duties

A young man living in west Pickering is looking for someone who has 3 hours per week during the daytime to spend with him expanding his life skills and independence.

As a Personal Assistant/Mentor you will bring positive energy, encouragement, and mentoring to the young man’s life.

Here are some of the areas of daily living the young man may request help with.

  • Drive to appointments or help plan transit route
  • Assist with cleaning personal space
  • Encouraging to maintain self-care routine
  • Help with advance meal prep
  • Accompany to Employment Services appointments
  • Possibly be availability to be on-call – for last minute appointments
  • Assist with on-line applications for employment

Role Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s licence and own vehicle
  • Current Vulnerable Criminal Police check
  • Compassionate and understanding of mental health wellness

Availability: 3 hours late morning or early afternoon 1 day a week
