Duties
  • Assist with setting up and running daily activities including games, word games, crafts, social programs, and community outings etc.
  • Help prepare activity spaces, including moving furniture and setting up supplies or entertainment areas
  • Helping with special events, game nights, clubs, creative and fitness classes, committees, etc.
  • Encourage resident participation and social engagement
  • Build positive relationships with residents through conversation and companionship
  • Demonstrate patience and understanding while working with seniors with varying abilities and needs
  • Provide support and encouragement to residents during activities and events
  • Work collaboratively with staff and other volunteers
  • Help maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all residents
  • Assist with cleaning up and organizing activity materials after programs

Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the day with flexible program times to fit a variety of schedules.  
Morning programs typically begin at 9:00 AM or 10:30 AM 
Afternoon programs run at 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM 
Evening entertainment events are often held at 7:00 PM, with set-up beginning around 5:30 PM and wrap-up by approximately 8:30–9:00 PM.  
Most programs run between 45–60 minutes. 
 
We welcome volunteers to assist with engaging pre-arranged activities such as games, crafts, socials, and events, while also encouraging those who would like to share their own hobbies, talents, or ideas to lead programs of their own. 
From holiday celebrations and themed events to entertainment nights and special gatherings, there are many opportunities to get involved by assisting with activities, resident engagement, set-up, or food and beverage service. Join us in creating meaningful moments, lasting connections, and joyful experiences for our residents.
