Duties

If you love film, and have time and skills you are interested in using to help our community, let's talk about the possibilities. The Durham Region International Film Festival (DRIFF) is about to prepare for a celebratory 10th season. We are seeking two new board members to round out our team. No previous board experience is required.

If you are reliable, enjoy working with a team, and you have 4 or 5 hours a month to roll up your sleeves and volunteer your time to help us plan and manage events, you've got the basics. If you also have fundraising, graphic design, or legal skills, that's a bonus. We can provide you with a satisfying and appreciative outlet for exercising those muscles.

The main attributes we are looking for are reliability, and an eagerness to use your time and skills to help with the work of putting on an annual festival and community events several months a year. We need caring contributors who stick with it once they make a commitment.
Commitment Length Long Term - 2 years would be ideal ; A two-year commitment would be great. But if you've got time and talent and only 1 year to give, we'd still like the opportunity to explore the possibilities with you.
Interaction Level Virtual Volunteering
Minimum Hours 4 / Month
Dates and Times Board meetings are online, from 5:00 to 7:00 on the second Wednesday of the month, 9 times a year. 
Related committee work would be about 2 hours per month. Timing would depend on which committee provides the best opportunities for you to shine and be happy.
Seasons Spring ; Fall ; Winter ; No board meetings in March, August or December
